History

In 1948, Rudolph D. Bach formed Bach & Company on the principle of unwavering integrity. Rudolph’s son-in-law and daughter, John and Dori (Bach) Beckhard, joined the company and developed a knowledgeable sales force committed to the founding principle while expanding product lines to include cutting implements across a variety of industries.

Over the years, Bach & Company became Bach Knives and earned a reputation as the foremost supplier of the highest quality tools incorporating the latest advances in materials and technology.

With Dori and John’s retirement in 2013, Bach Knives’ new leadership remains committed to the cornerstone of Bach Knives: unwavering integrity in its consistently reliable products and exceptional customer service.

Bob Whiton – President/CEO of Bach Knives

Bob joined Bach Knives 30+ years ago as a sales engineer, became President in 2015 and purchased the company in 2016 from John and Dori (Bach) Beckhard.   Rudolph D Bach founded Bach Knives in 1948 and cultivated the legacy of unwavering integrity, supplying exceptional tooling matched with unequaled customer service.  Bob now leads the Bach Knives team of dedicated, knowledgeable professionals that strive to exceed customer expectations supplying tooling that is reliably consistent and consistently reliable.

In addition to 30 years of experience in the slitting and shearing industry, Bob holds a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.   His hands-on approach to solving tooling issues and years of manufacturing experience bring value to our customers and continued growth to Bach Knives.
